Does the voltage passing through a fios cable line have th ability to start a fire?
I had a fire in my living room, the only wire behind the 5'7'' stand was a fios cable line. I had plastic bags stuffed all down the side and bottom, the fire originated at the bottom of the cabinet.
No. FIOS uses a very low energy light like the ones used in your mouse to transmit the data over long distances so that is impossible. However if you had your modem there, it could have overheated to cause a fire.
